A stainless steel western bit with a gently ported mouthpiece and long shanks. Designed for western riding where a loose rein contact is standard — the long shanks allow the rider to give light rein aids while achieving effective communication with the horse.

How It Works

As the rider takes a feel of the reins, leverage is exerted on the horse's mouth and also on the poll. Because western riders ride with a looser rein than English riders, the long shanks provide the mechanical advantage needed to achieve the same result with a lighter hand.
