DESCRIPTION
Loose Ring Snaffle
A loose ring snaffle - the most widely used bit style in general horse riding. Economic and reliable, this is a sound choice for everyday riding across flatwork, hacking, and general schooling.
How It Works
The steel rings sit freely around the mouthpiece, rotating with the horse's movement and shifting as rein pressure changes. This gives the bit a natural, mobile feel in the horse's mouth, preventing it from becoming fixed or dead. The jointed mouthpiece applies nutcracker-style pressure to the bars and tongue, giving the rider directional control and a clear communication channel.
Key Features
- Plated steel construction for durability
- Fully rotating loose rings for responsive rein contact
- Jointed mouthpiece for directional control
- Most commonly used bit style for general riding
Suitable For
Everyday riding across all disciplines. A solid first bit for a young horse or a practical, affordable option for a horse already going well in a loose ring snaffle.
