Biothane Rein Connectors (Ring Type)

Solo Saddlers' own biothane rein connectors, designed for use with curb bits. These attach to both the large and smaller rings of a curb bit so the rider only needs to hold a single rein — while still getting the effect of two separate rein attachments.

How It Works

Rein connectors bridge the two rings on a curb bit, with the single rein attaching to the connector itself. Our Solo design includes punched holes along the length of the connector, so you can adjust the relative tension between the two bit rings — tighter or looser on either side, or equal in length. This lets you customise how much contact each ring exerts without changing the bit.

About Biothane

Biothane is a synthetic material that mimics the feel of leather but requires minimal maintenance. It won't crack in the heat or stiffen in the cold — making it particularly practical for South African riding conditions and for trail, endurance, and yard work where real leather would suffer.
