The German martingale / market harborough is designed to teach your horse to give to the bit, flex at the poll and maintain a good vertical and lateral head position.
Martingale section splits between the horses front legs, goes up through the bit rings, and clips back onto the reins.
Allows precise positioning of the head whilst keeping control in the riders hands.
Also discourages horses from rearing.
