How It Works

The loose rings move with the horse's mouth, encouraging relaxation and mobility while preventing the horse from leaning or fixing on the bit. The single joint creates a mild "nutcracker" action across the tongue and bars when contact is taken — clear, but never sharp.

First-Use Tips

Warm the bit in your hand for a few seconds before bridling — rubber feels kinder on the bars when it isn't fridge-cold straight off the rack. Check the rubber regularly for any nicks or wear; replace as soon as the surface roughens, as small cuts can pinch the tongue.

Sizing

Measure the inside of your horse's existing bit, or measure mouth width with a piece of string at the corner of the lips. 125mm suits ponies and finer-headed horses; 135mm is the standard fit for most full-sized horses. When in doubt, size up — too tight is far worse than too wide.

Care

Rinse with clean water after every ride and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh detergents on the rubber — warm water is enough. Store hanging on a bit hook rather than at the bottom of a tack box where the rubber can compress.
