Nylon Running Martingale
A strong nylon running martingale, most often used on race horses and for everyday schooling. It stops a horse from lifting its head too high and gives the rider a neck strap to hold onto for a little extra security in the saddle.
Key Features
- Strong, hard-wearing nylon construction
- Prevents the horse from raising its head above the point of control
- Built-in neck strap to hold when you need it
- Popular for racing and general work
How a Running Martingale Works
A running martingale attaches to the girth, passes between the front legs and splits into two straps that end in rings. The reins run through these rings, so when the horse lifts its head too high the martingale applies gentle downward pressure on the bit until the head returns to a controllable position.
