What it does

A breastplate stops the saddle from sliding back, particularly on horses with low withers or during fast, hilly work. The detachable running martingale gives riders extra control over a horse that throws its head, without committing to a separate piece of tack.

Sizing and fit

Choose cob for ponies and smaller horses, full for warmbloods and most riding horses. The neck strap should sit comfortably without pulling on the saddle, with two to three fingers of clearance at the base of the neck.

Care
