Lowport Pelham Bit

A Pelham bit provides the benefits of a double bridle – using snaffle action and curb action – without the need for two bits. This stainless steel model has a low ported mouthpiece and includes a curb chain.

Why a Lowport Mouthpiece

The ported mouth curves upwards to allow more room for the tongue, placing more pressure on the bars of the mouth. This makes the curb action more effective.

Rein Options

A Pelham can be used with a variety of rein options:

• Two reins – giving the rider both a snaffle and a curb rein.
• A rein connector – attaches to the curb ring and the snaffle ring, with the rein on the connector, allowing a single rein.
• A single rein without connectors – on either the snaffle or curb ring, depending on the action and control needed.
