DESCRIPTION
Many snaffle bits collapse into a “V” shape when the reins are used, but the Loose Ring Locking Roller forms a soft “U” shape that does not dig into the roof of your horse’s mouth, making it more comfortable. This curved shape also allows more room for the tongue when the bit sits in a neutral position.
How the Loose Ring Locking Roller Works
The two sides of the bit can swivel independently — giving the rider separate control of each side and preventing the horse from hanging on one rein.
The rings on a loose ring bit rotate freely, so they shift with every change in rein pressure. This gives the rider more play and clearer communication through the contact.
The roller link reduces nutcracker action, distributes pressure more evenly over the bars, and allows independent control of each side of the mouth. With no curb or leverage action, this is a mild bit suited to a wide range of schooling and competition work.
