How It Works

As you take a feel of the reins, the long shanks apply leverage to the horse's mouth and poll simultaneously. The port in the mouthpiece provides tongue relief, making it more comfortable for horses that resist a flat bar. Because western riders typically ride on a loose rein, the long shanks amplify light rein aids — the same result with far less hand movement.

Suitable For
