Noseband Drop Leather Solo

Invented by the Spanish Riding School, this drop noseband encircles the nose around the chin groove, rather than sitting just below the cheekbone. The strap rests on the nasal bone and never below it, applying pressure where it is most effective.

It encourages the horse to keep its mouth closed and prevents the horse from crossing the jaw, giving you clearer, more consistent contact through the rein.

How a drop noseband works

Unlike a cavesson that sits high on the cheekbone, a drop noseband fastens lower, around the chin groove. This discourages the horse from opening its mouth or sliding the jaw sideways to evade the bit, while keeping pressure off the soft cartilage at the end of the nose.
