Lugging Bit — Steel Racing Ring Bit

A specialised racing bit designed to stop a horse from "lugging" — leaning or drifting to one side during a race. Also known as a ring bit, it features a large loose ring that encircles the lower jaw to give the jockey reliable lateral control and keep a strong puller running straight on the track.

How a Lugging Bit Works

Fitting and Care
