Rubber Dee Snaffle 125mm

A stainless steel dee ring snaffle with a rubber jointed mouthpiece, sized at 125mm. Sitting between an eggbutt and a fulmer in design, the dee ring offers more lateral control than an eggbutt while being less bulky and more suited to sensitive mouths than a solid steel alternative.

How It Works

The dee-shaped cheeks are longer and straighter than an eggbutt, which means the bit acts more on the sides of the mouth when rein pressure is applied. This gives the rider better steering ability and prevents the bit from being pulled through the horse's mouth. The fixed-ring design prevents pinching at the corners of the mouth — an advantage over loose ring bits. The rubber mouthpiece reduces the severity of the nutcracker action, making it more comfortable for soft mouths.
