How the Degogue Works

The strap runs from between the horse's front legs, up through the poll and bit, and back down to between the legs. When the horse lifts his head above the desired position, gentle poll pressure is applied through the elastic and pulley system. As the horse softens and lowers his head, the pressure releases — teaching him to find his own correct outline.
