About This Pelham Bit

A pelham bit provides the benefits of a double bridle — using snaffle action and curb action — without the need for two bits. The low port mouthpiece curves upwards to allow more room for the tongue, putting more pressure on the bars of the mouth and making the curb action more effective.

Rein Options

• Two reins: Use both a snaffle and a curb rein for full control over each action independently.
• Rein connectors: A connector attaches to the curb ring and the snaffle ring, allowing the use of a single rein with combined action.
• Single rein: Attach directly to either the snaffle ring or the curb ring, depending on the desired action and level of control.
