Stockholm Tar Spray 250ml — Aerosol Hoof Care

Stockholm Tar Spray is a premium hoof care solution designed to moisturise and strengthen your horse's hooves. This easy-to-apply aerosol formula helps prevent dryness, cracking and chipping while creating a water-resistant barrier — ideal for horses exposed to wet and muddy conditions.

Key Features

• Moisturises and strengthens hooves, preventing dryness and cracking
• Creates a water-resistant barrier against wet and muddy conditions
• Convenient 250ml aerosol spray for quick, even application
• Suitable for use on the sole and frog of the hoof
• Cleaner and more precise than traditional brush-on tar

When to Reach for Stockholm Tar

• After heavy rain or muddy turnout to seal moisture out of the hoof
• Hot dry months when hoof walls start to chip or crack
• Following a farrier visit — protect freshly-trimmed soles and frog
• At the first signs of thrush (dark, foul-smelling frog) alongside vet/farrier advice
• Routine weekly maintenance for stabled or paddock-kept horses

How to Use

1. Clean the hoof thoroughly with a hoof pick and brush.
2. Shake the canister, hold upright and spray an even layer onto the sole and frog.
3. Allow a few minutes to dry before exposure to wet conditions or bedding.
4. Repeat weekly, or after wet turnout, as needed.

Stockholm Tar Spray vs Brush-On Tar

This aerosol version offers the same protective benefits as traditional Stockholm Tar (brush-on), but in a more convenient format. The spray gives even coverage without the mess of a brush, making it ideal for quick hoof maintenance between farrier visits. For the most economical option per litre, see Endeavon Stockholm Tar.

Storage & Safety

• Flammable — keep away from open flames, sparks and other sources of ignition
