Solo SS Ball Spurs
Stainless steel ball spurs built to reinforce your leg aids with a softer, more forgiving cue than the square ends of short or long shank spurs. A go-to choice for riders who want a kinder aid without sacrificing precision.
Key features
- Stainless steel construction — durable and rust-resistant
- Ball-end shank for a softer cue
- Reinforces leg aids without overstating them
- A kinder option for sensitive horses and quieter riders
- Compatible with standard spur straps
How spurs are worn
Spurs are worn with the tip of the neck pointed downward, sitting on the spur rest of the riding boot (if there is one). The buckle of the spur strap should sit on the outside of the foot.
What spurs do
Spurs direct the horse to move forward or laterally under saddle. They refine the riding aids and back up the natural aids — leg, seat, hands and voice. The ball end is the softer alternative to square shank spurs, making it a sensible first set of spurs or a good option for thinner-skinned horses.
