How It's Used

Used with an in-hand showing halter for maximum control: the chain slips through the near-side ring and clips to the off-side ring, so you can present and control the horse cleanly in the ring.

Choosing a Show Lead

A chain lead gives you more immediate control than a plain lead rope, which matters when a fit horse is stood up in front of a judge. Keep the chain slack in normal handling and use it only for a quiet, clear correction.
