What It's Used For

The dandy brush is a workhorse of any grooming kit, made to whisk out caked mud, sweat marks and loose hair before a softer body brush is brought in. The stiffer bristles are well suited to manes, tails and around the hooves, and they stand up to heavy winter coats where a softer brush won't reach.

How to Use It

Work in short, flicking strokes from the neck down to the legs, keeping the bristles roughly perpendicular to the coat to lift dirt rather than press it in. Follow up with a softer brush for the final shine, and keep this one alongside your hoof care tools so it's always within arm's reach at the yard.

Care & Cleaning

Rinse the bristles under running water after each use to clear dust and dander, then stand the brush bristle-side down to dry. Pair it with the rest of your grooming essentials to keep your horse turned out neatly year-round.
