How to Use a Dandy Brush

The dandy brush follows the curry comb, sweeping away the dirt and hair the curry comb has loosened. Work in short, flicking strokes in the direction of the coat, lifting the brush away at the end of each stroke rather than dragging it. It earns its keep on manes, tails and around the hooves, and on heavy winter coats where stubborn dirt has set in. Avoid the face and any clipped or sensitive areas, and switch to a body brush for those.

Care

Rinse the bristles in clean water after use and stand the brush bristles-down to dry, so water does not sit in the back.
