Farriers Mix Herbal Horse

Herbal Horse Digestion Mix is a supplement for horses that have weak, brittle or painful hooves, or if you battle to get him to keep his shoes on until the next farrier's visit.

Includes a very comprehensive list of ingredients (Biotin, Methionine, Copper, Zinc, Rosehips, Inositol, Choline, Vitamin C, Kelp, Brewers’ Yeast) - this supplement covers all possible nutritional causes of sore, weak or brittle hooves.

The amount of Biotin recommended to fix problem feet in horses, is 15mg per day. But studies have shown that the improvement is faster and better with higher amounts. Farriers mix supplies 30 mg per daily dose. (And there are no adverse side-effects to a higher amount – Biotin is a water soluble vitamin, so it is easy to excrete if not needed).

The Copper and Zinc are not the inorganic forms most often used by supplement companies, they are chelated to amino acids, making them better absorbed and safer.
