Why Blinkers Matter

The blinkers — square pieces of leather attached to the cheek pieces — keep the donkey focused on the path ahead and limit peripheral vision, reducing distractions in harness. Because they are moulded, they sit clear of the eyes without rubbing or irritation.

Donkeys have a different mouth conformation to horses. This bit is made to the correct size and shape for donkeys, making it more comfortable and kinder than a standard horse bit.
