DESCRIPTION
No-Shock is a range of polyurethane horse shoe pads developed by Mustad Hoofcare — designed to absorb shock and vibration while protecting the hoof.
Why Choose Mustad No-Shock Pads?
High-grade polyurethane is well known for its ability to absorb both shocks and vibrations, as well as its strength and durability. These flat pads sit neatly between the hoof and the horse shoe.
- 3mm flat pads — slim profile for minimal lift
- High-grade polyurethane — absorbs concussion and vibration
- Grey transparent colour — see clearly when using silicone filling
- Tough and flexible — long wear in demanding conditions
When to Use No-Shock Pads
Ideal for horses working on hard ground, those recovering from bruised soles, or any horse that benefits from extra concussion absorption under the shoe. The transparent grey pads let you see exactly where you're packing silicone or pour-in pads.
How to Fit
Fitted between the hoof and the shoe at shoeing. Speak to your farrier about whether full or rim pads suit your horse's conformation and workload.
When to Replace
Pads are typically replaced at each shoeing cycle (6–8 weeks) along with the horse shoes themselves. Inspect at every reset for excessive wear, cracking or thinning — replace early if the pad has lost its cushioning thickness.
