What Is a Bradoon Piece?

A bradoon piece (also called a bradoon hanger or slip head) is an essential part of a double bridle setup. It threads through the browband alongside the main headpiece and carries the bradoon (snaffle) bit separately from the curb bit. This gives you independent control of both bits for more refined communication with your horse.

Fitting Guide

Slide the bradoon piece through the browband next to your existing headpiece. Attach your bradoon bit to the rings on each side. Adjust the cheek pieces so the bradoon sits correctly in the horse's mouth — it should sit slightly higher than the curb bit, creating a gentle wrinkle at the corner of the lips.
