What Half Chaps Do

Half chaps cover the lower leg from knee to ankle, sitting between your boot and your breeches. They protect your calves from stirrup leather pinching, give your lower leg a steadier feel against the saddle, and extend the life of your jodhpur boots. For a proper fit, take two measurements:

1. Calf measurement — measure the widest part of your calf
2. Length measurement — measure from the back of your knee to your ankle (where you want the chap to finish)
